1 .5 Cup of steel-cut oats

2.5 Cups water or Plant Based milk

1/8 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

1 or 2 Tbsp of good quality maple syrup

Walnuts

Chopped strawberries

¼ Cup dried mulberries

Preparing it:

COOKING IT: Cook the oats, cinnamon, water or plant based milk and maple syrup together and  mix all of the ingredients bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let simmer uncovered for approximately 10 to 15 minutes, or until you reach your desired consistency and texture. Stir occasionally. You may need to add a touch of liquid if it starts to dry out before the oats are cooked.

Once the oats are tender and cooked through, cover and let rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

Gather: the fresh fruit, walnuts and dried fruit and once the oats are ready add them to the oats.
